Last week was an eventful one for the team here at TailorMade Sofas, as we journeyed down to Milton Keynes to take part in a lifestyle exhibition. We took a range of our handmade sofas to display in Middleton Hall, CMK, as part of Davan’s Lifestyle: Interiors and Exteriors Show.
The event ran for the four busiest days of the shopping week in the city’s largest shopping centre, spanning from Thursday 24th October to Sunday 27th October. Two members of our management team, Melanie and Michael, went along, taking along eight pieces from our extensive range for demonstration.
The exhibition was a great success, but the star of the show for us was undoubtedly our big chair. This larger-than-life chair stands at 72 inches in height, depth and width, making it around double the size of a standard chair. It drew plenty of attention to our stand, with the Milton Keynes shoppers keen to get stuck in to our immense seat and have their photos taken upon the roomy recliner.
Alongside our extraordinarily big chair, we also took along eight of the most popular pieces from our range of tailor made furniture; the Melissa, Kensington, Marlow, Park Lane, Henley, Richmond, Studio Chaise and Cambridge. They were proudly displayed in our 6 x 6 metre allocated display space. These, together with the big chair, served to demonstrate just how customisable and unique our furniture can be.
Other businesses at the show included those displaying large garden sheds and equipment, dining rooms, quirky cutlery and round microwaves.
The show was great fun to attend and a big success – we have already received increased visits to our showroom as a result.
