We were approached by our customer, who owns a Victorian cottage, which has been extended over the years. These extensions had left columns and uneven walls in the sitting room which made positioning of sofas and chairs difficult.
Our customer liked the idea of a corner sofa to maximise the seating area and positioned to take advantage of the open fire and T.V. Having searched the High Street and retail stores, our customer was unable to find anything suitable and decided to visit our showroom. Our challenge was to make a corner group to fit around and between columns.
A site visit was essential to enable us to make templates around the columns, take into account skirting boards, uneven walls and finalise the overall size with the customer.
We manufactured the corner group in our workshop and simulated the area it was going in to ensure a perfect fit.
Delivery required a 4 man team as the corner group had to be supported on trestles around the columns and bolted together from underneath. When bolted, the trestles were removed and the corner group lowered into its final position.
