Seven months ago the country was gripped by the world wide Coronavirus pandemic, and the whole country went into lockdown. TailorMade Sofas like so many other non essential businesses shut down our workshop and our showroom as instructed by our Government. The months passed and we were hoping that something would change the rapid spreading of the virus to enable us to re-open our business.
Eventually in the middle of June we were given the green light, providing we could trade in a Covid19 aware way, bringing in some simple but effective practices we would be able to re-open both our workshop and our showroom. We spent time setting up the workshop so that each employee had their own safe area, we changed some of the tea break and lunch break times to ensure that everyone was kept at a safe distance, and we brought in hand gel, masks, and gloves. Our showroom was marked out with 2m distance signs; we decided to operate a “By appointment only” opening of the showroom Mon-Fri providing customers with hand gel, face mask, and gloves.
Customers have been very accommodating making their appointments and adhering to our Covid19 policy, most customers have been very supportive and have commented that they have felt safe and not been worried whilst in our showroom. Some have even suggested that we should continue with the appointment system even when things return to “normal”.
We would like to thank all of our customers for their continued support, and for their patience in waiting for their orders to be manufactured and delivered. We have now closed our order book for pre-Christmas deliveries, but we are still open and able to take orders.
