The large retail stores are only able to offer the sofas in the range of fabrics given to them by the manufacturers. The size of the sofa cannot be changed because it will have been mass produced. Large manufacturers will decide on the dimensions of the sofas, they will choose a limited range of fabric colours, and everything will then be loaded up into a computer program which will send information down to the frame making department, the fabric cutting department, the sewing department. They have the ability to produce huge volumes of sofas because everything is pre-set, and can be done by machine following a computer program.

Every frame is handmade by our experienced frame maker, we offer an extensive range of fabrics from a number of different fabric suppliers, and each customer’s order is individually hand cut so any changes to the size are easily made.
