Now that the sunshine has finally decided to appear and spring is upon us, the hot trends set for spring and summer 2013 can finally come to the fore. With the long and depressing winter now behind us, we here at TailorMade Sofas thought we’d look ahead to the next few months and run through a few of the things we think are going to be popular in the wonderful world of sofa design over the next two seasons;
Keep it Light
Light creams and beiges are sure to popular for the main design of the sofa this spring and summer as it provides the perfect base from which you can introduce colour in other areas. Keeping neutral also allows you to chop and change accessories whenever you please without being forced to change the whole sofa on a regular basis!
Scatter Some Colour
The bright spring and summer colours come to the fore through the introduction of scatter cushions, which can be chosen to suit your individual preferences and current colour scheme within the room. The flexibility you get from the colour choices with scatter cushions means you can compliment them with other accessories within the room including your curtains, lampshades and rugs.
Go for the Pillow Back
Pillow back sofas are proving increasingly popular as again they offer the flexibility for change without having to replace the whole sofa. Sofas such as the Belgravia and Eton are popular pillow back choices in our range whilst many, like the Henley, can be purchased with regular back cushions yet still offer the opportunity, thanks to their design, for pillow back cushions to be introduced at a later date should you wish for a change of appearance.
